Abstract

Twenty-three new combinations (Lolium adzharicum, L. ×aschersonianum, L. atlantigenum, L. ×brinkmannii, L. cha yuense, L. ×czarnohorense, L. duratum, L. ×elongatum, L. ×fleischeri, L. fontqueri, L. formosanum, L. ×holmbergii, L. inter ruptum, L. interruptum subsp. corsicum, L. ×krasanii, L. liangshanicum, L. mairei, L. letourneuxianum, L. mediterraneum, L. pluriflorum, L. ×schlickumii, L. ×subnutans, L. tuberosum) and one new name (L. scabriflorum) are proposed, fulfilling the relocation of the currently accepted Schedonorus and Micropyropsis taxa (including hybrids) under Lolium, along with three new combinations regarding natural intergeneric hybrids between Lolium and Festuca s.str., i.e. ×Festulolium (×F. hercyni cum, ×F. pseudofallax, ×F. wippraense). A new epitype for Festuca arundinacea is selected, while the names F. adscendens, F. ×aschersoniana, F. ×brinkmannii, F. elongata, F. ×gigas, F. ×haussknechtii, F. ×haussknechtii f. debilis, f. diffusior, and f. strictior, F. ×holmbergii, and F. pooides are lectotypified.
