Numerous large landslides are present in the Alps of Ticino, Southern Switzerland. Landslides at Campo Vallenmaggia, Cerentino, Peccia, val Canaria, val Colla include sags or deep-seated creep phenomena and rotational slides with single detachment horizons and considerable displacements. Each of these landslides is described in this paper. geological, structural and kinematic data are included, historical events and exploration surveys are reviewed.
