A fully integrated UMTS receiver front-end comprising LNA, mixers, VGAs, double frequency VCO, second harmonic injection locking dividers for quadrature generation, has been realized using a direct conversion architecture in a 0.18µm CMOS technology. Measured performances are: +48dBm IIP2, -2dBm IIP3, 5.6dB NF, -156.8dBc/Hz phase noise at 135MHz offset. The chip draws only 21mA from a 1.8V supply.
