Wavelength conversion palys a key role in optical signal processing in telecommunication networks. We propose an all-optical wavelength converter based on Four Wave Mixing in a hybrid conjugated polymer/glass waveguide consisting in a planar graded index ion-exchanged glass waveguide overlaid by a polydiacetylene spun film. The possibility of efficient frequency conversion is demonstrated with the advantage of ultrafast respnse and large wavelength bandwidth.
