A linear Power Amplifier based on a single-stage closed loop resistive feedback topology, intended as driver of piezoelectric transducers for medical ultrasound imaging is presented in this work. Prototypes, realized in BCD6-SOI, show the following performances: 90Vpk-pk output signals on 100pF load with more than 53% power efficiency, 720MHz GBW and better than -40dB HD2 with quiescent power dissipation of 37mW only. To authors’ knowledge, this is the high voltage linear amplifier with the highest gain-bandwidth product at quiescent dissipation of less than 50mW. Furthermore, it is the first integrated amplifier meeting the tight linearity demands of ultra-sound harmonic imaging systems.

Abstract
Furthermore, it is the first integrated amplifier meeting the tight linearity demands of ultra-sound harmonic imaging systems.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
