This paper reports on the construction and laboratory tests done at INFN Milano Bicocca for the MICE TOF0 and TOF1 detectors at RAL. In addition the studies done to spot out some mis-behaviour of the Hamamatsu H6533 assemblies based on conventional Hamamatsu R4998 PMTs are described.
