The aim of this analysis is the quantification of Ce, Eu, La, Sm, Sc and Tb mass fractions in a high silica content matrix, performed by Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) carried out with relative standardization. The sample to investigate consists of soil material and is provided by the Jožef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia (JSI) in the framework of the IAWG CCQM-K178/CCQM-P223 “Rare Earth Elements, Uranium and Thorium in Soil” comparison. This document describes the detailed procedure adopted in the analysis together with the obtained results and a final discussion concerning the total uncertainty budget (i.e. the budget including information from all the replicates measured in the analysis).

Abstract
The aim of this analysis is the quantification of Ce, Eu, La, Sm, Sc and Tb mass fractions in a high silica content matrix, performed by Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis (INAA) carried out with relative standardization. The sample to investigate consists of soil material and is provided by the Jožef Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia (JSI) in the framework of the IAWG CCQM-K178/CCQM-P223 “Rare Earth Elements, Uranium and Thorium in Soil” comparison. This document describes the detailed procedure adopted in the analysis together with the obtained results and a final discussion concerning the total uncertainty budget (i.e. the budget including information from all the replicates measured in the analysis).I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
