Abstract
The new generation of photovoltaic technologies has seen perovskites emerge as a leading material; however, reliability still limits their potential for large scale commercialization. In this work, we first investigated the effect of different experimental parameters on the crystallization of FAPbI₃ in an inverted device architecture. Among these, annealing temperature and additive concentration play a crucial role in determining the properties of the perovskite film, enabling the achievement of a champion efficiency of 22.7%. We then studied the effect of increasing the core extension of thiophene based cations used for surface passivation, observing from photoluminescence analysis a substantial reduction in non-radiative recombination losses. This improvement is attributed to the enhanced bonding strength, as supported by density functional theory simulations. Finally, we examined the effect of vacuum based deposition for surface passivation in perovskite silicon tandem solar cells, achieving a champion power conversion efficiency of 33.7%, with a certified value of 31.8% under maximum power point tracking conditions.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
