Visible photoluminescence in K1-xLixTaO3 was found to have similar spectral features but a large increase of emission yield with respect to KTaO3. Studying the temperature dependence of the phenomena and its correlation with photoconductivity, we found direct support for a process in which the emission is due to pair recombination of trapped electron and hole centers, Ta4+ and O+, intrinsic to the matrix.

Abstract
Visible photoluminescence in K1-xLixTaO3 was found to have similar spectral features but a large increase of emission yield with respect to KTaO3. Studying the temperature dependence of the phenomena and its correlation with photoconductivity, we found direct support for a process in which the emission is due to pair recombination of trapped electron and hole centers, Ta4+ and O+, intrinsic to the matrix.File in questo prodotto:
