Abstract

Results are presented for the polarization of the ejectile in quasi-elastic neutral-current neutrino (antineutrino) scattering off 12C. A relativistic distorted-wave impulse-approximation model is used for the calculations where the bound state is obtained in the framework of the relativistic mean field theory and the final state interaction is taken into account in the scattering state by means of a relativistic optical potential. The sensitivity to the strange-quark content of the nucleon weak current is discussed.
