Rassegna di quanto è disponibile in letteratura, alla data di pubblicazione, sulla risposta immune dell'ospite intermedio all'infezione da E.granulosus. L'informazione contenuta è fondamentale per la formulazione di linee di ricerca innovatove, soprattutto che tengano conto dei diversi stadi che la larva di E.granulosus attraversa nell'ospite intermedio, un elemento fondamentale ma trascurato nella maggioranza degli studi disponibili.
