Abstract

Starting from a 100-nJ gain-switched microchip single-frequency laser, pulses up to 3.2 mJ at 100 Hz and 13 ns are achieved with hybrid cw/quasi-cw solid state amplifiers. This system has been designed for high-resolution Doppler lidar applications.
