As a result of the revision (still in act) of the specimens kept in the Herbarium Universitatis Ticinensis (PAV), 10 noteworthy taxa for the Northwestern Italian flora are here presented (9 from Lombardy and one from Piedmont). Among these, 7 have been collected before 1950. Particularly impressive is the discovery of a single specimen of Marsilea strigosa from Lombardy (previous records of this species were unknown for northern Italy) and two specimens of Asclepias tuberosa, a new North American alien for Italy.

Abstract

As a result of the revision (still in act) of the specimens kept in the Herbarium Universitatis Ticinensis (PAV), 10 noteworthy taxa for the Northwestern Italian flora are here presented (9 from Lombardy and one from Piedmont). Among these, 7 have been collected before 1950. Particularly impressive is the discovery of a single specimen of Marsilea strigosa from Lombardy (previous records of this species were unknown for northern Italy) and two specimens of Asclepias tuberosa, a new North American alien for Italy.
