The chapter deals with Waltz's theory of international change. It summarizes the contents of Waltz's Theory of International Politics. First, it points out the debts that it has with the classics of the social sciences. Second, it presents how it deals with the theme of change and continuity in international politics. Third, it discusses some of the criticisms it received. Finally, it points out the influence it has had on the discipline.
