A group of researchers of the University of Pavia has been working about accessibility and valorisation of Cultural Heritage for more than 6 years. The approach and the method developed during these years follow the ideas of the United Nation Convention on the rights of Persons with disabilities established in December 2006. The following text shows the results of the last year of the research, focused on the system of three squares in the centre of Pavia (urban level) and on eight public buildings (architectonic level). The research starts with an analysis of the level of accessibility (measured by objective parameters), defines the most significant areas and building elements that affect the users with disabilities and offers some ideas to solve problems of accessibility in order to make Pavia more comfortable for all users.

Abstract
A group of researchers of the University of Pavia has been working about accessibility and valorisation of Cultural Heritage for more than 6 years. The approach and the method developed during these years follow the ideas of the United Nation Convention on the rights of Persons with disabilities established in December 2006. The following text shows the results of the last year of the research, focused on the system of three squares in the centre of Pavia (urban level) and on eight public buildings (architectonic level). The research starts with an analysis of the level of accessibility (measured by objective parameters), defines the most significant areas and building elements that affect the users with disabilities and offers some ideas to solve problems of accessibility in order to make Pavia more comfortable for all users.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
