Phialophora sessilis was repeatedly isolated from marble powder in a cemetery site in Pavia (Italy). Morphological characteristics of this strain are reported. Its probable role as a lithobiont with a high adaptability to different organic sources is discussed.

Abstract

Phialophora sessilis was repeatedly isolated from marble powder in a cemetery site in Pavia (Italy). Morphological characteristics of this strain are reported. Its probable role as a lithobiont with a high adaptability to different organic sources is discussed.
