The contribution describes challenges, methods and structure of the International Design Workshop S.A.F.E. - Sustainable and Accessible Future for Everybody. It explains the work activities (design laboratories, lectures and common activities) and the workshop teams composition, which follows a specific method based on a matrix of cluster-experts. It also deepens the design of innovative architectural solutions to answer the need of new sustainable and accessible houses for refugees and weak users in the city of Giessen, which should be based on a participatory approach involving the final users.

The contribution describes challenges, methods and structure of the International Design Workshop S.A.F.E. - Sustainable and Accessible Future for Everybody.
