The contribution describes the historical building of Mondino Institute, in Pavia, which is the case-study for the projects of the Intensive Programme "ABC - Accessibility and Buildings' Conservation" organized by the University of Pavia, with the international partners: THM of Giessen (Germany), Universidad de Alicante (Spain), Dogus University (Turkey), Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy) and Università di Cagliari (Italy). It deepens the problems of the building related to its accessibility and its opportunities of valorization. It also gives the guidelines and the functional programme followed by the students to reach the project goal: the design of a new "Mmuseum of Food" valorizing the historical features of the Mondino Institute and its urban surroundings.
