The contribution describes the final project of the Group n.5 of the Intensive Programme "ABC - Accessibility and Buildings' Conservation" organized by the University of Pavia, which were formed by students from Università di Pavia (Italy), THM of Giessen (Germany), Universidad de Alicante (Spain), Dogus University (Turkey), Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy) and Università di Cagliari (Italy). The article deepens the design strategies of the group: the main concept of the project is to create new spaces with a new volume (in concrete and glass), linking again the historical building with the city.
