The contribution comments all the relevant case-law collected in different Member State jurisprudence on Regulation (EC) No 2201/2003, focusing on some specific problems found in national practice. It is the result of a two-year Project funded by the European Commission in 2015 under the DG Justice Programme, on "EU Judiciary Training on Brussels IIa Regulation: From South to East") coordinated by prof. Costanza Honorati, and involving different Universities in Italy, Croatia, Spain, Lithuania and the Judiciary Schools in the same States.
