This is the editio princeps of a newly discovered fragment of Justinian’s Digest. The fragment comes from a sixth-century papyrus codex that in all likelihood was part of an edition of the Digest in multiple tomes. In addition to providing palaeographical and codicological information, this new finding supports the idea that the Digest had considerable circulation and was used in legal education and legal practice.

Abstract
This is the editio princeps of a newly discovered fragment of Justinian’s Digest. The fragment comes from a sixth-century papyrus codex that in all likelihood was part of an edition of the Digest in multiple tomes. In addition to providing palaeographical and codicological information, this new finding supports the idea that the Digest had considerable circulation and was used in legal education and legal practice.File in questo prodotto:
