FRCs have been extensively testedin the literature,but todaythe advances in newtechnologies involving the introductionof nanofillers or newfibersalongwithunderstandingthedesignprinciplesofFRCdevicesopennewfieldsofresearchforthesematerialsbothin vitroandinvivo.ThepresentreviewdescribespastandpresentapplicationsofFRCsandintroducessomefutureperspectiveson theuseofthesematerials.
