The Italian academia has taken a proactive mode: it has decided to work with AICA to support the scheme in all its levels, and to contribute to the quality of the certification with some specific projects, among which the development of e-learning material for the Core level. The cooperation has lasted for four years now, and will continue. It is unique within the European scenario, and it can offer at least a worked-out example of the relationship between a professional ICT certification and the university world.
