The paper examines how equity investors can contribute to the development of infant technology based firms. The role of these investors may be significant and depends from the nature and attitudes of investors themselves. Beyond financial resources, these investor may help young firms in different ways, mainly in the areas of reputation building, networking, strategic management and organizational capabilities. The research methodology is qualitative, based on examination of four cases of infant technology base firms.
