Acute rhinosinusitis (ARS) represents a common disorder, associated with consistent morbidity as well as with a large prescription of antibiotics. ARS has a significant impact on clinical practice; it usually presents with respiratory complaints persisting longer than 10 days and showing no signs of improvement. Throughout the evaluation of pediatric patients with ARS confirmed by nasal endoscopy, we have been able to provide evidence that age has a significant influence on clinical patterns in children with ARS.

Abstract

La rinosinusite acuta è una patologia di estrema rilevanza a livello pediatrico per la sua frequente correlazione con complicazioni delle vie respiratorie e la consistente presrizione di antibiotici. Lo scopo dello studio è stato quello di valutare se esiste una possibile correlazione tra i sintomi clinici e l'età di insorgenza. La rivista scelta possiede notevole rilevanza a livello internazionale nel trattare problematiche riguardanti le patologie allergiche e immunologiche in età pediatrica
