A group of Roman architects, coordinated by Concezio Petrucci, in 1929 wins the new master plan of Pisa’s City. In these same years, many Italian cities were committed in urban projects despite being still absent a national planning law. During the national competitions many experiments and proposals were presented and discussed. This paper intends to analyze the proposals developed for the city of Pisa and the projects that were built following the demolition of old residential areas. Special attention is dedicated to St. Andrew Quarter, the old Jewish ghetto, with the construction of the new Palace of Justice designed by Gaetano Rapisardi.

Abstract
