In Japan, Christianity is a minority faith, but since the middle of the 16th century it has produced a cultural heritage of exceptional universal value. This heritage was designated a World Heritage site in June 2018, the result of constant work by communities that have professed Christianity together with Buddhism and Shintoism. This paper illustrates some specific cases that exemplify this extraordinary legacy of dialogue between East and West.
