We describe herein the electrochemical behaviour and the voltammetric determination of aryl piperazines of forensic interest, including 1-(4-methoxyphenyl)piperazine (pMeOPP), 1-(4-chlorophenyl)piperazine (pCPP) and 1-(4-trifluoromethylphenyl)piperazine (pTFPP). Limit of Detection (LOD) values for the developed analytical protocol are all in the order of 0.1 μg∙mL−1 and the developed procedure, associated with the clean-up/preconcentration process by solid phase extraction (SPE) using Florisil, can be also applied for the detection and quantification of these compounds in biological matrices such as urine.
