Abstract

The COVID-19 emergency has revealed a strong inadequacy of the health infrastructure. Hospitals all over the world have reached their maximum reception capacities within a few hours/days. The design response saw different strategies: the reorganization into COVID-19 departments; the con- struction of new hospitals; and the reuse of existing “compatible” structures. This experience has left footprints on the territory on which it is necessary to make an ex post reflection.
