During the last decade, we have witnessed tremendous progress in the field of haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). The 6th EBMT Paediatric Diseases Working Party Meeting in Poznan offered a unique opportunity to summarize this progress from the paediatric perspective and to elaborate new common ideas and researches, aimed at further optimizing the HSCT procedure in children, as well as at improving patient outcome.
