Some emblematic experiences and application areas are mentioned. Finally identifies the methodological criteria which include: the subjects involved, their participation attorale and autorale, the performative processes and outcomes, the choice of space and time, the relationship with the socio-cultural context and the evolutionary features that the social theater accomplishes.
