The paper proposes to adopt a constructionist approach to the study of formulaicity in the Rigveda by exploiting the information contained in two new linguistic resources: the Vedic TreeBank, a syntactically parsed corpus of Vedic literature, and the Sanskrit WordNet, a relational database aimed at exploring the Sanskrit lexicon. The use of digital resources enables the automatic extraction of formulas; furthermore, the automatic selection of data through explicit query expressions makes linguistic research replicable and more systematic. The interoperability of the two resources is made possible by the use of unique identifiers associated with each element; a new search engine, Cylleneus, provides access to information contained in the two resources through a simple query interface.
