The role of film language. i.e. all the technical components exploited to tell a story in a film, are illustrated in relation to their role in audio description. Difference professional and academic stances on the subjects are illustrated, examples of guidelines are offered, and possible solutions (or rather flexible recommendations) are suggested to novice academics and prospective professionals.
