Abstract

The end of the Fascist Regime and the defeat marked by the Second World War had determined a dramatic socio-economic status of the Italian peninsula that enticed many communities and individual professionals to seek out job opportunities overseas. In fact, by the second half of the 19th century the routes between the old and the new continent had intensified, but between 1920 and 1940 many of these transfers had also been determined by rational and political reasons. In particular, the political reasons and expatriates for purge were the main factors that intervened on those professional figures most exposed and less strictly faithful to the institutional provisions.Argentina was certainly one of the countries that welcomed a large number of political refugees and professionals turned away from Italy, many of them high-profile professionally so that once they reached the new continent immediately began to establish production facilities thanks to the technological innovations they brought with them. This is an interesting process of technological transfer that lasted until the end of the 20th century when this ruling class obviously failed, mainly for personal reasons. This paper is intended to analyze some significant examples of these technological transfer processes that have helped to implement industrial sectors that have allowed Argentina to grow very quickly, although these experiences have not been adequately implemented and enhanced.
