European Cultural Heritage Routes (CHRs) take the form of a distinctive type of heritage: indeed, their complexity and multi-scalarity have, throughout history, contributed to the origin of contemporary Europe. These routes, which are not always visible, are characterized by tangible values, consisting of Architecture and landscapes, and intangibles, made up of traditions and identities, on which common European roots are grounded.

Abstract
