The paper offers some considerations of counterculture projects for the Halles Consultation of 1979. In particular, the contribution evaluates how the visionary, but contradictory solutions were concil- iated with the needs of the growing motorized population, the need to rethink the public space and the need to reinterpret the structure urban in the wake of the energy crises of a few years earlier.
