The development of guidelines for the conservation, maintenance, and enhancement of a portion of the Magistral Walls of Verona is the objective of the research agreement between the Municipality of Verona, the University of Pavia, and the University of Florence, which envisages the study and detailed analysis of the diagnostic conditions of a 300-meter portion of the walls. Starting from the sample case, procedural proposals for intervention on the fortified structures were outlined in cooperation with the local superintendence, defining the standards of digital documentation and conservation procedures. The research involves a group of professors and researchers with different competencies. The use of digital documentation allows to evaluate mineralogical, petrographic, archaeological, geo-seismic, endoscopic, and structural analyses. The integrated method made it possible to cross-reference data on construction and technological characteristics with information on documented decay conditions. Following the investigations, summary tables and information sheets were drawn up to guide the conservative intervention on the typological and formal classifications of the fortified system. This work constitutes a step towards the methodological structuring of actions aimed at the conservation and long-term management of the Walls of Verona.

Abstract
This work constitutes a step towards the methodological structuring of actions aimed at the conservation and long-term management of the Walls of Verona.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
