“Speak, Memory. An Autobiography revisited” (1967) is the English re-translation of the Russian version of the Nabokov’s autobiography published in English in 1951. It is a truly linguistic autobiography, because the translation in his mother tongue brought out of the oblivion facts and persons belonging to a world lived in Russian. In the English-Russian-English translation work, the languages, by integrating each other, bring to light meanings belonging to Nabokov’s original language.
