LibMovIt e Wikibase: il Grand Tour in metadati

Wikibase LibMovIt è un dataset creato all’interno del PRIN 2022 LibMovIt – Libraries on the Move: Scholars, Books, Ideas Traveling in Italy in the 18th Century, finanziato dall’Unione europea – Next Generation EU che raccoglie le fonti sulle quali si basa la ricerca, ovvero le testimonianze pubblicate dai viaggiatori relative all’esperienza del viaggio erudito del Grand Tour. LibMovIt wikibase è un’istanza di Wikibase Cloud che ha lo scopo di pubblicare i dati prodotti durante la ricerca, grazie alla realizzazione di un dataset appositamente progettato. Il progetto ha l’obiettivo di ricostruire l’itinerario dei viaggiatori/autori attraverso le biblioteche italiane e di registrare e analizzare le informazioni che le citazioni esaminate forniscono in relazione a: biblioteche e istituzioni che le contenevano; collezioni generali e speciali; servizi; opere rilevanti e notevoli segnalate; persone segnalate o rilevanti in relazione a una biblioteca. Wikibase LibMovIt is a project developed within the framework of PRIN 2022 LibMovIt – Libraries on the Move: Scholars, Books, Ideas Traveling in Italy in the 18th Century, funded by the European Union – Next Generation EU. The research is based on published accounts by travelers documenting their experiences of the scholarly journey known as the Grand Tour. This instance of Wikibase Cloud was created with the purpose of publishing the data generated over the course of the research, through the development of a specifically designed dataset. The primary objective is to reconstruct the itineraries of travelers/authors across Italian libraries and to record and analyze the information provided by the examined citations concerning: libraries and institutions housing the collections; general and specialized collections; available services; significant and noteworthy works mentioned; and individuals referenced or deemed relevant in connection to a library.
