L’articolo descrive le differenti tipologie di postille con cui Alfieri annotava libri e manoscrit-ti. Dopo aver proposto una tassonomia, a partire dalle proposte di Frasso e Barbieri, viene pre-sentata una casistica limitata, ma esemplare, delle differenti tipologie di postille che si incontrano nell’archivio letterario e nella biblioteca di Alfieri dimostrandone il rapporto con la pratica dell’ars excerpendi, descrivendone l’evoluzione nel tempo e mostrando come libri e letture en-trino nel suo laboratorio di scrittura, partecipano a pieno titolo all’avantesto delle sue opere, e contribuiscano a costruire l’immagine di sé che lo scrittore voleva legare ai posteri. This study describes the different types of notes with which Alfieri annotated books and manuscripts. After proposing a taxonomy, based on Frasso and Barbieri’s proposals, the arti-cle presents a limited but exemplary case history of the different types of annotations found in Alfieri’s literary archive and library, demonstrating their relationship to the practice of “ars excerpendi”, describing their evolution over time and showing how books and readings are part of his laboratory, participate fully in the “avant-texte” of his works, and contribute to building the self-image that the writer wanted to bind to posterity.
