Abstract
This paper presents an unpublished Herm of small dimensions, depicting Dionysus, preserved in the “C. Leone” Museum in Vercelli, Piedmont, part of the Regio XI. In the absence of archival data, we attempt to identify the context in which the Herm might have been exhibited and to propose a date based on stylistic and comparative grounds. Finally, we place the sculpture within the broader landscape of Imperial Vercelli, in the light of new archaeological discoveries.File in questo prodotto:
