The essay offers a comprehensive reflection on authorship in Old French Lyric poetry, integrating multiple levels of analysis. First, a quantitative approach is adopted to examine data related to the textual tradition – including the total number of transmitted compositions and the distribution of attributions in the rubrics – in order to outline an initial overview. The analysis then turns to the structure of the tradition from a stemmatic perspective, with particular attention to the attributive rubrics. Finally, the study addresses the methodological consequences of attribution problems for editorial practice.

Abstract
The essay offers a comprehensive reflection on authorship in Old French Lyric poetry, integrating multiple levels of analysis. First, a quantitative approach is adopted to examine data related to the textual tradition – including the total number of transmitted compositions and the distribution of attributions in the rubrics – in order to outline an initial overview. The analysis then turns to the structure of the tradition from a stemmatic perspective, with particular attention to the attributive rubrics. Finally, the study addresses the methodological consequences of attribution problems for editorial practice.File in questo prodotto:
