The paper describes the main qualities of an original study dedicated to the rhymes of Torquato Tasso. The reasons for the research ‒ which aims to investigate the macro-textual value of the tripartite edition planned by the author in the last years of his life (Osanna 1591, Marchetti 1593 and the incomplete Terza parte witnessed by the ms. Vat. Lat. 10980) ‒ are presented in the first introductory paragraph. In the second one, the work plan is outlined, which considers the use of multiple levels of investigation (stylistic, critical, historical-literary) and to combine the formal study of each text with the thematic and sometimes narrative organisation within the books. The third paragraph, finally, offers a brief sample of the most significant textual coincidences detected so far, starting from the clear anticipation of the encomiastic theme in the conclusion of the first volume Osanna (reserved to love poetry), up to a partial review of rhetorical and stylistic features common to the first two editions.

Abstract
The third paragraph, finally, offers a brief sample of the most significant textual coincidences detected so far, starting from the clear anticipation of the encomiastic theme in the conclusion of the first volume Osanna (reserved to love poetry), up to a partial review of rhetorical and stylistic features common to the first two editions.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
