Origin, mission, vision, development, major achievements and prospects of EUROMICRO

This paper describes the history, the origin, the motivations and the perspectives of Euromicro, the scientific society of which in the 2024 the 50° anniversary was celebrated and whose members were Editors of MICPRO. After 50 years Euromicro is still active favouring the cooperation of researchers coming from throughput Europe and from the main countries leaders in IT and Microelectronics. Euromicro promotes the conferences on Parallel Distributed and Network Base Processing, on Real Time Systems, on Digital Systems Design and on Software Engineering.
