Abstract

Cable dynamics is a widely explored field in the technical literature. Particularly, the mechanics of cables is caught either by numeric or analytic models that are able to predict the nonlinear dynamic response of these structural elements with the desired level of approximation. However, efforts are still required in the field of cable vibration mitigation to conceive economical, feasible and robust control strategies.
