Abstract

The reconsideration of some marginal notes concerning the lost part of the ‘Herakliskos’ in the ‘Antinoe Theocritus’ (P.Ant. s.n.; MP3 1487) allows to assume that in the final section of the poem the serious tone could have been superseded by the ironic and grotesque traditional picture of the bulimic Heracles.
