This book is intended to help linguists who are not acquainted with Ancient Greek but wish to make ready reference to its most compelling features from the point of view of language typology. We have endeavored to cover all aspects of Ancient Greek grammar, but this does certainly not mean that this book can substitute classical reference handbooks. What we wanted to provide, when we started the project, was a sort of guide to steer non-specialists through the complexities of specialis-tic literature. Many Ancient Greek grammars require previous knowledge of Ancient Greek, and cannot be used by a non-specialist without some degree of assistance.

Abstract
This book is intended to help linguists who are not acquainted with Ancient Greek but wish to make ready reference to its most compelling features from the point of view of language typology. We have endeavored to cover all aspects of Ancient Greek grammar, but this does certainly not mean that this book can substitute classical reference handbooks. What we wanted to provide, when we started the project, was a sort of guide to steer non-specialists through the complexities of specialis-tic literature. Many Ancient Greek grammars require previous knowledge of Ancient Greek, and cannot be used by a non-specialist without some degree of assistance.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
