This papers deals with the problem of defining what interpretation is in a particular human science, that is anthropology. The framework of the cognitive relation, in the ethnographic experience, being the "field", the author analizes the dialogical features of the field, showing that the linguistic interaction is a fundamental cognitive strategy in anthropology.
