Various factors linked to the working environment can determine the onset of several types of headache, as well as increase the frequency and/or intensity of existing headache forms. Studies of headache in industrial workers report an incidence of work-related “headache” that ranges from 13 to 57%. occupational risk factors without doubt include excessive responsibility and, on the contrary, lack of interest and unsuitable working rhythms. Stressful working rhythms (assembly lines, piece-work, overtime) are considered to be responsible not only for the onset of headache, but also for other pathologies, such as myocardial infarction, arterial hypertension, peptic ulcer and anxiety. Particular attention should be paid to shift work as a possible headache trigger factor. Abstract

Computer operators, like shift workers, have been the focus of many studies that have highlighted the presence of headache in these subjects.
