The loss of a limb, or a part of it, is a serious shock, both physical and psychic, and also an independence limitation. Equipping the amputee with a suitable lower limb prosthesis allows the recovery of independence compromised by disabling events. By wearing the prosthesis for a long time causes ulcers in the stump because high values of temperature and humidity are reached in the socket. Moreover, the amputee feels pain when the load is unevenly distributed in the points of contact between the prosthesis and the stump. Since temperature, humidity and pressure values have never been measured, the aim of this work is to propose an instrumentation able to measure those parameters during a working day. In this way it’s possible to improve the comfort in the prosthesis daily use.
